Responsibilities & Context

Position Title:

Logistics Officer
Reports to: Project Manager / Lead / Coordinator
Duty Location: Ibba / Maridi - South Sudan
Contract Type: Regular
Duration: 12 Months

Purpose of the Role:
To provide logistical support for the SASA! Together program, ensuring timely transport, movement of personnel and materials, and coordination of resources across phases and field sites. The role demands precision, proactive planning, and alignment with safeguarding and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet & Transport Management

Schedule vehicles for field visits, training, and community activities
Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and fuel usage records
Coordinate with drivers for safety checks, servicing, and route planning
Track movement of goods and people across intervention sites
Support emergency transport logistics when needed

Materials & Supplies Distribution

Manage movement and tracking of SASA! Together printed materials and kits
Coordinate packaging and timely dispatch to field teams
Maintain inventory records and report stock levels to program staff
Oversee delivery and returns of tools and supplies during activities

Venue & Activity Support

Coordinate venue booking, equipment delivery, and setup for trainings
Ensure logistic readiness for meetings, stakeholder engagements, and community events
Support mobilization logistics including banners, tents, refreshments, and IEC materials

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure proper documentation of all logistical movements and transactions
Prepare logistics reports and input for donor and internal reporting
Adhere to procurement and logistics policies, including safeguarding and risk mitigation
Maintain vendor files and liaise with suppliers as needed
